After the training, participants will be able to:
- Identify and discern between the concepts and key elements of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Communicate using DEI and related terminologies about various dimensions of diversity
- Identify the underlying barriers to DEI, including unconscious bias (individual and community level) and systemic inequities (systemic and institutional level)
- Apply CPCC’s equity commitment statement and DEI policy to corresponding areas of work (board and staff/programming)
- List existing areas of work that require improvement and name visions for future community engagement and service planning
