CLIENT FEEDBACK
We initially engaged B.K. to provide a day long workshop with our senior team. The experience was simply exceptional. Her ability to engage through a creative mix of narrative, fact and humour resulted in a powerful learning experience. In preparation for the day, B.K. thoroughly researched the work and culture of the organization, and developed thoughtful, relevant and challenging scenarios that brought life to both the theory as well as the practise. Bruce Rivers, Executive Director, Covenant House Toronto, 2018 I've been a therapist for 20 years and Karen teaches me something every time. Stephen B., Explore More Summit interview, 2016 Karen is a wonderful speaker who speaks openly and honestly. It was wonderful to finally be provided with tools for active listening and being empathetic rather than just understanding the definitions. Biennial Western Canadian Sexual Health Conference, 2016 I went to your emotional intelligence training at PPNYC... I found it ridiculously helpful and find myself saying "what would BK say?" whenever I'm looking for the emotionally intelligent thing to say to a youth. Lynne Nevue, Outreach and Education Specialist, Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York This was the highlight of my conference experience. I left with a different view of not only my LGBTQ clients, but all my clients. LGBTQ Competency Tool Box for Family Law Professionals, APCC Conference, 2015 |
[Karen has] worked out a sensitive and non-judgmental approach to what can be a highly volatile issue especially for separating families and their children caught in the middle. LGBTQ Competency Tool Box for Family Law Professionals, APCC Conference, 2015 Very skilled. Great language. I really enjoyed the emphasis on the anti-oppression framework and sex-positive nature of sexual health education. Youth Work Tool Kit, 2007 Fresh! Honest! Excellent material delivered with power and grace. Empathic Facilitation, MindCamp, 2014 What I like the most was your openness and honesty, the relaxed vibe, the playfulness and non-judgemental rules. Sex as a Jam, Good For Her, 2014 It was amazing for me to be given permission to not treat consent in a static black and white manner, but as an ever-changing grey area. I loved this! Consent in Action, University of Guelph, 2014 BK, you have the uncanny ability to lead without the listener knowing she or he is being led. Learning is as it should be when that happens. Jeffrey Wilson, Family Law Lawyer, Writer, 2014 Well organized and delivered. Immediately useful. Empathic Facilitation, MindCamp, 2014 |
